Currently, mobile homes in China are mainly used for temporary offices and dormitories on construction sites, and for construction housing in large-scale outdoor exploration and operations in transportation, water conservancy, petroleum, and natural gas; temporary housing for large-scale sporting events and exhibitions; leisure villas and holiday houses in tourist areas; post-disaster resettlement housing; military applications; various clubhouses and low-rise residential buildings. Based on their application areas and product characteristics, mobile homes can be divided into two categories: mobile houses and integrated homes.
The emergence of mobile homes represents a revolutionary leap in architectural design concepts. One can imagine that future construction sites will no longer be dusty and filled with the roar of machinery. The process of building houses will simply involve placing factory-made building modules like building blocks within a prefabricated structure. This will bring about a huge transformation in the construction industry.
Mobile homes are also known as integrated homes or demountable homes. A mobile home is a new type of building; it is a living space that can be easily assembled and moved, such as a living space that can be towed behind a car. It has the appearance of a trailer but functions as a living space inside.
